Privacy policy
You can use any tool on this site without creating an account, signing up for anything, or handing over personal details. We built the site so you can open a calculator, convert a file, or generate a QR code without jumping through hoops.
That said, some information gets collected automatically when you visit any website. Here is what that looks like on our end.
Technical Data Collected Automatically:
- Browser type and version
- Operating system and device type
- Pages you visit on the site and how long you spend on them
- Referring website or search term that brought you here
- Your IP address and general geographic region derived from it
- Timestamps of your visits
We collect this through standard analytics and server logs. None of it identifies you personally by name or email address. We use it to understand which tools get used most, catch performance problems early, and keep the site secure. For example, if a particular calculator page loads slowly in a specific browser, server logs help us spot and fix that.
We do not intentionally collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or physical addresses unless you choose to send them to us through a contact form or support request. If you do reach out, we only use that information to respond to your message.
We retain server logs and technical data only for as long as necessary to maintain performance, security, and reliability—typically for a short period such as a few days to a few weeks. After that, logs are deleted or anonymized.
How We Handle Your Files
Many of our tools process files—PDF merging, image compression, format conversion, and similar tasks. We handle file processing in two ways, and the method matters for your privacy.
Client-side Processing
Whenever technically feasible, file processing happens directly in your browser. Your file never leaves your device. The browser reads it, processes it, and generates output locally. Tools that work this way include several of our image converters, QR code generators, and certain PDF utilities. You can confirm this by disconnecting your internet after loading the tool—if it still works, processing is happening on your device.
Server-side Processing
Some operations are too resource-intensive for browsers or require server-side libraries. When that happens, your uploaded file is sent to our servers, processed, and the result is sent back to you. We then delete the file automatically from our servers, typically within minutes and always within a few hours. We do not mine uploaded files for data. We do not keep copies. We do not train models on them. The file exists on our infrastructure just long enough to do the job you asked for, then it is gone.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Where required by applicable laws, we request your consent before placing non-essential cookies such as those used for analytics or advertising. You can manage or withdraw your consent at any time through your browser settings or cookie preferences.
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. We use them sparingly and for practical reasons.
Here is what we use cookies for:
- Analytics and performance: We want to know if the site is fast, which pages people find useful, and whether anything is broken. Our analytics setup collects aggregated information—page views, approximate location, browser type—without tying it to an individual identity.
- Preferences: Some tools let you choose settings like measurement units, number formats, or dark mode. A cookie remembers your preference so you do not have to set it again on every visit.
- Functionality: A few interactive tools store temporary state information to work properly across page reloads or multiple steps.
We use third-party analytics services to help with this. These services have their own privacy policies, and they may set their own cookies. They provide us with aggregate reports, not individual user profiles.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. The site will still work, though some preference memory and analytics functions will stop.
Advertising and Affiliate Links
Running a site with dozens of free tools costs money—servers, bandwidth, development time, and maintenance all add up. To cover these costs, we display advertisements and participate in affiliate programs.
- Advertisements: Ads appearing on the site may be served by third-party advertising networks. These networks sometimes use cookies or device identifiers to show ads based on sites you have previously visited. This is commonly called interest-based advertising. We do not provide these networks with any personal information about you.
- Affiliate links: Some of our pages include links to products, services, or software. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. We only link to products we believe are relevant to the tool or topic at hand. An affiliate link does not change the price, and it does not track you across unrelated sites on our behalf.
Your choices about advertising cookies depend on the network serving the ad. Many advertising networks offer opt-out options through industry programs like the Digital Advertising Alliance or the Network Advertising Initiative.
Third-Party Services
A few of our tools integrate with third-party services under the hood—for example, currency exchange rate data for finance calculators, or mapping tiles for location-based tools. Some advertisements and analytics providers are also third parties, as described in the sections above.
Some of these services may include analytics providers (such as Google Analytics), advertising networks (such as Google AdSense), and external data providers (such as currency exchange APIs). When you interact with tools that rely on these services, they may receive limited technical data such as your IP address or request data necessary for functionality. We select third-party services carefully and only use them when necessary. However, their data practices are governed by their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them if needed.
How We Protect Your Information
We take reasonable precautions to protect the information that passes through our systems—whether that is your browsing activity, a contact form submission, or a file uploaded for processing. This includes using encrypted connections (TLS), keeping server software updated, limiting access to logs, and automating the deletion of temporary files.
We also recognize that no online system is impenetrable. A determined attacker with enough resources can compromise nearly anything. We do not pretend otherwise. What we do promise is that we stay current with security practices, respond quickly to reported vulnerabilities, and avoid storing sensitive data longer than necessary—which, in practical terms, means there is not much to compromise in the first place.
Children's Privacy
This site is built for a general audience—students, professionals, hobbyists, and anyone who needs a quick utility. We do not design tools specifically for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it. If you believe that has happened, please let us know.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights regarding your personal information under applicable privacy laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act). These rights may include the ability to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information. Because we collect minimal personal data and do not build user profiles, fulfilling such requests is generally straightforward.
If you have ever submitted your name or email address through a contact form, you can ask us to confirm what we have, update it, or delete it. For automatically collected technical data like server logs, we retain it only in aggregate or for short periods, and individual records cannot typically be extracted or linked back to a specific person.
To make a privacy-related request, send us a message using the contact information at the end of this policy. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe—usually a few business days. We do not ask for sensitive identification to verify these requests because we would not have enough information about you to verify against in the first place. That itself should tell you something about how little we collect.
Updates to This Policy
We update this privacy policy when something changes—when we add a new type of tool, change how we handle data, or need to clarify language that turned out to be confusing. When we update it, we revise the effective date at the top of the page.
If the changes are significant—like if we started collecting a type of information we did not collect before—we will post a notice on the site. For minor clarifications or wording improvements, we will simply update the text. Continuing to use the site after an update means you have read and accepted the revised policy. If you disagree with a change, you are always free to stop using the site and to contact us with any concerns.

We read every message and respond to legitimate privacy inquiries. If you are writing to ask us to remove data, please include enough context for us to understand what data you are referring to and where it originated.
We built this site to be genuinely useful. That extends to how we handle your information. If something is not working for you, let us know and we will do our best to make it right.
